BiH, RS – Association of physiatrists of the Republic of Srpska

The Association of Physiatrists of the Republic of Srpska is a specialist association founded in 2000 on the initiative of Mihajlo Stefanovski, PhD. The association is located at the Institute for Physical Medicine, Rehabilitation and Orthopedic Surgery “Dr. Miroslav Zotović” in Banja Luka.

The association was founded due to the necessity of establishing quality communications between health professionals, patients and the public, as well as cooperation with other medical associations and societies in the Republic of Srpska, the surrounding area and abroad.

The association aims to promote and improve the development of physical medicine and rehabilitation as a medical branch important in the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of patients to improve the quality of life through the organized activities of its members. Significant goals and tasks of the Association are continuous professional education of members, encouragement of scientific and research work, publication of professional and scientific publications in the field of physical medicine and rehabilitation.

Our strength is the coming generations who are ready to accept the challenges in rehabilitation and enable its duration in the time ahead.

The working bodies of the Association are the Assembly, the Management Board and the Scientific Board. The Electoral Assembly is held every 4 years, as is the Congress of physiatrists in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The current number of members is 125 (PRM specialist and residents).
